Does It Still Work If I Fall Asleep? Dry Head Spa and Sleep

“Does the treatment still work if I fall asleep?”
This is a question we are sometimes asked.

To give you the answer first,
falling asleep during the treatment is perfectly fine.
Rather, naturally drifting off
is itself one sign that your body is truly relaxed.

At La HEAD,
about 90% of our guests fall asleep during their treatment.
*We update this figure regularly, so it may vary slightly.

What matters in dry head spa
is not “whether you stay awake,”
but how deeply your body’s tension can ease and how fully you can relax.

As relaxation deepens, the parasympathetic nervous system becomes dominant,
and breathing becomes slower and deeper.
In this state, muscle stiffness eases more readily,
and it is thought that you also become more receptive to the treatment.

So falling asleep during a treatment
isn’t something you control consciously;
it happens as part of your body’s natural move toward rest.

Of course, you can still feel the effects of the treatment while awake,
but falling asleep is never a drawback.

At La HEAD, to help you enter this state more easily,
we put care not only into the treatment but also into the space itself.

In both the entrance and the treatment room,
we adjust the music and scent to create a shift in atmosphere,
designing a flow that helps you naturally settle down.

Gently easing tension even before the treatment begins,
and guiding you into a state where you can relax without effort.
That is also one of the ideas La HEAD holds dear.

Some guests feel “it would be a waste to fall asleep,”
but please feel free to simply rest and enjoy it.

Being able to enter a state where you can rest naturally
helps bring your body back into balance.
